"Best Easy Day Hikes Charlotte" and
"Odyssa" An Epic Adventure on the AT
Not yet, but soon and not one, but two!!! I am so excited to have two books due out in 2010. In spring of 2009, I was contracted by Falcon Press to write "Best Easy Day Hikes Charlotte." I loved exploring the trails and parks in the Piedmont Region and was impressed by the diversity and wildlife in the region. Hopefully the 20 hikes in and near Mecklenburg County will give all those unemployed bankers in the area a positive outlet until they are re-hired! I have been working on the second book for four years and am thankful to Eric Kampmann at Beaufort Books for making my dream a reality. "Odyssa" An Epic Adventure on the AT chronicals my experiences and encounters on the Appalachian Trail. As if there aren't enough AT books out there, right? But this one is different. This one is about self-awareness and why the lessons of the Appalachian Trail are so important. I promise you it is not your traditional trail book, but I guess you are just going to have to read it to believe it :)
Trail Journal
For those who can’t wait for the book and want to experience more than just my first thru-hike on the Appalachian Trail, I have created a homemade compilation featuring journals from the Appalachian Trail 2005, Kilimanjaro 2006, Pacific Crest Trail 2006, Inca Trail 2007, Long Trail Record Attempt 2007, The Australia Bibbulman Track 2008, and The Appalachian Trail Record Attempt 2008. It costs $20 and is available immediately, contact me for details!
